I’ve got a confession to share.
In my 20’s, steeping earl grey teabags forever with plenty of milk was my tea-drinking sin. I’d hope no one would noticed as I squeezed the last drop of the milky, golden, bergamot scented infusion into my mug. That’s when I knew it was time to change. I left the British isles and went to explore the world. And guess what I discovered? That, as I later confessed to my London-based tea-friends, there really is almost nothing better than a good old cup of milky earl grey.
So guess what?
We’ve made it legitimate.
In true latte-style this is a tea which can absolutely, one hundred percent be proudly made with plenty of hot milk and infused FOREVER.
Or at least until you just can’t wait any longer.
Brew this with water for a top notch tea that will knock the socks off any earl grey lover, or enjoy a true London Fog by brewing in hot milk (oat milk is a favourite) with a drop of vanilla.
Sri Lankan black tea for a warm, complex base
Red and blue cornflowers to make this a truly British blend
Natural bergamot flavour to uplift your spirits and delight your mind
By the way, I though twice about the name for this blend, should it be fog like smog? Or should it be Fogg for Phileas Fogg the fictional adventurer who set sail from London to travel around the world in 80 days? I always thought that I’d like to be him. His name alone makes me long for adventure again. Simply imagine all of the fragrant treasures we can share on our travels!
